There would be a point when she’d have to ‘fess up. She spotted him on the meat counter in Morrisons; it was love at first sight. For her anyway.


Every week she went in and bought a selection of meats. She’d clocked his shifts and timed it so that he’d have to serve her.

Things moved on over a pound of Cumberlands. He asked her out.

They met on a Thursday, after work. He said he’d made a reservation at a great steakhouse; she’d love it especially as she seemed to enjoy meat so much.


Unfortunately, she was a vegan.
